Kayaking Vacations in British Columbia with WeGo Kayaking Expeditions

The most important perspective any adventure vacation company can and should get, is that of it's clients. We take great interest in what our customers have to say about their experiences with WeGo Kayaking. Every WeGo customer receives an optional feedback form at the end of their trip. This input, right from our valued clients, has helped us develop into a solid company that pays particular attention to even the most subtle of details.

Hi WeGo- Just a short note to thank you for a splendid week. We were very pleased to meet you and all. The weather gave us a great gift. We were so happy to become intimately acquainted with the islands. Fell in love with the whole place. The environment would normally be enough to leave us feeling enthralled. Add to the the brilliant competence and delightful personalities of the staff- the experience was as you promised- unforgettable.  My personal history includes having herded many young people around in the wilderness, both professionally and as a parent. It was a priceless luxury to be so well-taken care of and forbidden to lift one finger to help with chores or cooking. I must confess that Patrick and I bonded with each one of them- Christy, Mark and Ash. You know how to pick the good ones. Each is so impressive in their own right, with the amount of experience and education they've accrued already in their young lives. Even though we were too early for orcas and salmon we appreciated having staff and environment almost completely to ourselves. There certainly was no shortage of wildlife to engage with. We have no substantial suggestions for refinements to your operation. You have obviously learned quite a bit from your years of providing this experience for others. As long as you are astute and fortunate enough to keep grabbing up the best young people to run the camps, you will continue to provide all that you promise. With deep appreciation and best regards, Mujiba Hi Guys, I think you have already heard from Rosie, but I also wanted to touch base and let you know what a wonderful time we had on our kayaking adventure last week.  We were anticipating having fun, but we never imagined how much fun it would really be, or that it would turn out to be quite an "exclusive" tour for us.    The scenery was breathtaking, the kayaking was great fun and both Jamie and Mark did a wonderful job at ensuring that we were well looked after. I have posted several photos of both of them preparing meals and doing dishes, on my fridge at home so that my family knows the level of care and attention I have quickly become accustomed to!!  We couldn't have wished for a better trip. Just wanted to say a big Thankyou for Amys kyak trip. She hasn't spoken to us for long yet, but the main words were Awesome! and Incredible! She sent us an email to thank us for letting her go, because it was 'the best thing she has ever done'

And Christy was an awesome guide also - Amy was most impressed!

She is away at Edmonton for 4 weeks now, then I am sure you will hear from her on her return to Oz.

We went on the Hot Springs Cove trip and it was amazing! The meals were great. We were all asking for the recipes. And our guides were the best!! Craig and Ali were overly accommodating to our requests. One day they split up so that half the group could stay on land and go to the hot springs, and the other half paddled over to a secluded beach to play in the water! They took us on an evening paddle to watch the sunset one night too! Towards the end of the trip we felt bad having them cater to us so much! We would recommend this trip and this company to everyone!! We can't wait to get back someday!

Hi there - we recently stayed in your wonderful floating lodge with your
wonderful guide, Dusty. To say we had a marvelous time is a massive
understatement! We would be immensely remiss if we did not express our
gratitude to you & yours for employing such a competent and all around
incredible person as Dusty. You are fortunate indeed to have such a fine
representative of your company and we feel we've made a great new friend.
Dusty's presence could have made or broken our experience and you should
know that he could not have done one single thing more to insure that we
were unbelievably taken care of. His knowledge of the tides and his
attentiveness to details also insured our safety as well as providing great
anectdotes and local lore. Please make sure that you all express our
gratefulness for his amazing host job. He was delightful.

Hi there WeGo'ers!

Rosie and I really enjoyed our trip to Johnstone Str. !! Craig is an enthusiastic guide who gave us lots of opportunities to paddle ( I think we estimated about 80K. of paddling over the four days). We saw all kinds of wild life including, Orcas, a bear cub, baby seal, adult seals, salmon, humpbacks, porpoises, and many many eagles! Oh and how could I forget those crazy jumping blue herring!! We loved the night paddle too! What an amazing experience! The food and the company were great!

Hi all,

Just wanted to get back to you to let you know how impressed we were with the whole experience in Johnstone strait. Imagine our surprise when we saw Orcas on the way out to the lodge! Even though we had rain most of the time we were there, we still had a great time. The food was great, our guide was excellent and the scenery is breathtaking. I would highly recommend this vacation to all, experienced kayakers or not. There is nothing like a day of kayaking in the fresh air to heighten your appetite, mood and improve your sleep! We will definitely be back. I have included a few pictures, as well there are a couple of good ones of our guide Craig.

Dear WeGo

Now that we are back in the east, the kids are off at school and we've had a chance to catch our breath, Allen and I wanted to let you know what an amazing trip we had, much of it thanks to our guide Stacy. Not only is she a fabulous cook, no matter what the circumstances, her enthusiasm, knowledge and obvious love of the area gave us an experience that would not have been the same without her. In rain that at times seemed as though it would never stop she remained cheerful, and what's more, made sure we stayed that way, keeping us dry, warm and fed. This was our first sea kayak trip, but it will certainly not be the last.

Thank you again for the wonderful kayaking trip! You really took great care of us. We enjoyed the day trips – they were a nice combination of paddling and other activities that allowed us to appreciate the magical surroundings.

The lodge is fantastic. It’s cozy and comfortable and the setting is gorgeous. You did a great job of building it, and your barbeque (I can’t spell “Begobe” (?)) hut and wharves will only make it better. And we won’t forget the wonderful meals for a long time (neither will our waistlines).

Say hi to Ann’s Mom and Dad for us – next time you are in this neighborhood drop by and we’ll let Miss Cleo, Libby and Charlie play.

Sorry to take so long with this brief thank you- we're still trying to adapt to work, heat, getting ready for school etc, etc.
The trip with you guys was fantastic, and we've told everyone we could get to hold still for a minute just how great it was. Thanks for everything- most especially for the special effort to get us back in touch with Paul. All in all it was a summer trip we'll never forget.
Please say Hi and thanks to Ann for us,. You make a terrific team, and getting to visit with Al and Marlene was a special treat. If either of you is in this neighborhood, give us a shout and we'll throw another steer on the barbie.

First, we'd like to compliment your company, and especially James for an awesome kayaking trip. All of our expectations were met and exceeded. James was a great guide and provided excellent commentary as well as humor during our trip to the hot springs. As we mentioned to James, we picked your company because of the hot springs tour and the ability to travel further without having to paddle back in a redundant loop. We felt the path was a perfect blend of nature (i.e. Meares Island) and adventure (paddling around Sharp Point). Additionally, the clarity and informative nature of your website was an (accurate) sign that you had it together. Also, the fact that your company provided the essential gear (sleeping bag, pad, tent, dry bags, paddle jacket, and even a pillow) was an attractive feature and eliminated a potential headache. As visitors from the states we did not want to have to bring these items nor did we want to have to make a separate rental.

Dear you WeGo kayakers!

The hustle and bustle of everyday life has delayed the writing of this letter until now.

The trip was an utter success. Even now three months later I still get excited thinking about it. An obvious experience of a lifetime.

Kristine and I both agree that the success of our trip was because of Stephan. He was organized, entertaining and professional. After reading your brochure I had fairly high expectations of what we could expect and those expectations were easily exceeded. It was pretty evident on our second day when we were camped next to another kayaking group and given that it was a little windy that day we decided to share their sheltered cook site. It was with large grins that we ate our five fruit salad and berry pancakes with maple syrup while the other group slogged back porridge and dry English muffins. You could see the envy in their eyes. It really impressed me that all the meals were incredible. Having done some camping before, I thought for sure by the fifth day that we would start to get some mediocre meals but not a chance. I think it was on the sixth night that we even had Caesar salad which still leaves me shacking my head because I can't keep lettuce that fresh in my fridge let alone do it out camping. Amazing.

The paddling and sites that we saw exceeded my every expectation. Paddling with the Orcas as close as we did will be a memory that I will remember and cherish for a long time. Stephen's interest and knowledge of the local floral and fauna really added to the depth and quality of our trip. He should be commended for the extra effort that he spent to make this trip so memorable.

Hopefully we will see you in the future for another adventure.
